This is a new Analytical Laboratory located in Brimsdown, North London, built for Johnson Matthey and it replaced the original 1970’s building which was lost to fire in 2011. The building was opened in 2015 by Boris Johnson, the then Mayor of London.
The building is a steel frame structure clad in curtain walling and polished block work and has an approximate floor area of 2700 sqm over two floors. Internally there are production laboratories, analytical facilities, furnace rooms and staff welfare facilities. Yeates Design worked closely with the client, the structural engineers and the mechanical and electrical engineers throughout the process and co-ordinated all of the services.
